This policy describes how the site simulateur-etf.com (“the Site”) processes visitors' data, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679).

1. Data controller

The data controller is the Site's publisher (see the legal notice). For any question regarding your data: contact@simulateur-etf.com.

2. Data we process

The Site is designed to minimise data collection:

Simulations: all calculations (contributions, duration, return, taxation, etc.) are performed locally in your browser. No simulation data is sent to a server or kept by us.
Local storage: if you use “Save”, your simulation is stored in your browser's localStorage, on your device only. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browsing data.
Newsletter: if you sign up, your email address is kept solely to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Analytics and advertising cookies: placed by third-party services (see section 3), only after your consent.

3. Cookies and audience measurement

The Site displays no advertising and uses no ad network. The only non-essential cookies are those of Google Analytics, used to count visits and understand which pages are consulted.

These cookies are placed only after your explicit consent, given via the banner shown on your first visit. Until you accept, no measurement cookie is created.
Your IP address is anonymised before any processing.
No data is resold, and no advertising profile is built.
To change your choice, clear the Site's browsing data: the banner will reappear.

If you decline, the Site works exactly the same: all simulations remain available, and they are computed in your browser anyway.

4. Affiliate links

The Site may contain affiliate links (for example to online bookshops or partner platforms). If you make a purchase or sign-up via these links, the Site may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you. These links do not result in sharing your personal data with us beyond what the partner communicates in aggregated form.

5. Legal basis and purposes

Consent: analytics and advertising cookies, newsletter sign-up.
Legitimate interest: ensuring the Site's proper functioning and security.

6. Retention period

Saved data remains on your device until you erase it. The newsletter email address is kept until you unsubscribe. Third-party cookies have their own durations set by their issuers.

7. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. To exercise them, write to contact@simulateur-etf.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium) or the CNIL (France).

8. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. We implement reasonable measures to protect the data processed.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest revision.
